What's on our minds . . .

We went deep into the mountains to minister to the people (part of the team is pictured at left).  The goal was to heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons, and preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' The people there also ministered to us!

Raise the dead; drive out demons;
Preach the Good News

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.  Luke 10:2-3

Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you.  Luke 10:7

"He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."
Luke 10:16

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."  Luke 10:17

"Heal the sick"  This little girl might have died except that she became sick the very week the medical team was there.  Common infections in the United States are life threatening in the mountains located far from medical help.

A church was built thanks to the construction team who hiked an hour into the mountains.

Roy, Ron and Ray pause for a short time in la Antigua after a native Guatemalan Big Mac meal!

We write this to make our joy complete .

This is the message we have heard from Jesus and declare to you:
God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.

 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, Jesus is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make Christ out to be a liar.
1 John 1:4-10
