We all need encouragement at times.  Every one of us!

Do you know that when everything is crumbling around you; friends deserting you; people picking you apart; layoff notice in hand; relationships falling apart; the Doctor you went to for that test left a message for you to call him; telephones disconnected; lights just went off and the forecast is for more of  the same for an indefinite period of time that . . .

God loves you with an everlasting love that does not change like the shifting shadows of the world around you.  God loves you with a love so strong and brilliant and encompassing and complete and eternal that not even the gates of hell itself will prevail against His love for you!

Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but
those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

(Isaiah 40:28-31)

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends

. . .Jesus    ( John 15:9-14)

When things get really tough . . . raise your eyes above the horizon line and look to the Cross.  Ask God to put His Band-Aid on that hurt, to tuck you under His mighty wings and shelter you from the storm.  And, He will.

And, last, . . . if you're in a church that prays for people's needs. . . ask for prayer.  If you're uncomfortable with this then do it anonymously by placing a brief note in with your offering . . .
