On January 2, 2000 we received (and watched) a video called "Hope For A New Millennium" which "Promise Keepers" sent out to 302,000 churches across America   The remarkable thing about the video was the target audience: the Church in the United States.  The church in the US has become barely distinguishable from the culture around it.  In fact, statistician George Barna and his organization have documented extensively the sad state of affairs in many parts of the church in the United States.
"The church" is made up of the people who attend it and the people are like you and us and so, ultimately, any resolution must start with sinners like you and me.  Let it begin with us.  I have met many revived people and it has been good to bless and be blessed by men, women and children who have a living, dynamic life so filled with God's love that they go and tell others the Good News of Jesus Christ.
The Bible says:  "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."  2 Chronicles 7:14
As for me and my household (Joshua 24:15), we covenanted to pray "for God to send revival to the Church and spiritual awakening to our nation so that Christ’s Great commission might be fulfilled worldwide in our generation."

We have prayed daily, usually at 12:29 PM (USA-Eastern Standard Time) from Monday, January 2, 2000  until today,   If you would like also to pray for God to awaken His people and give His people a desire to be holy and follow God once again then send me an email of encouragement and let me know. I'm always interested in what you have seen and heard! (Acts 4:20)

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23
