John 3:16

Sept. 11, 2001

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live.
Deuteronomy 4:9

Did you know that both the RI State Flag and State Seal have an "Anchor" and the word "Hope" in them?  These two items come from the Holy Bible in the Book of Hebrews, chapter 6, verse 19 where it says "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." The "hope" and "anchor" are one and the same:
 The Lord Jesus Christ.

QuietWaters.org is a Christian site with a dual mission: to share the pure stoke of Rhode Island surfing with other water men and women and to give the glory to God, who creates the waves we enjoy by His mighty hand.
   The
surfing goal, quite simply, is to pull into that perfect glass wave, nail a clean tube and share that with others who understand both the risk and stoke. The goal remains elusive although sharing the stoke is ongoing. Every now and then you're a little inside on a set - and take a late drop on an average wave that just turns into a screamer of a wall - tight and makeable.  Pure Stoke, man!
   The
God goal is to share the peace of Jesus Christ with you in a quiet way.  No push, no pull, no "religion"; just God's joy expressed principally through the love of surfing which many of you share.

I'm doing the stats 2 days before the end of the year
as the time is available this morning to get them done.  Planned on surfing this AM in 5-8' but the wind has gone strong NW. Hope to catch some residual waves after the wind drops a little later. (I didn't put that in the surf report!)

I really appreciate your stopping by.  May God richly bless you   And my prayer is that each one of you personally would experience just how long and wide and deep is the radical and revolutionary love of Jesus Christ for you.  Jesus is coming back soon.  Are you ready to meet him? Jesus came to take away your and my sin - the wrong things we do - to reconcile us to God the Father - because no sin can be where perfect sinless God is in heaven. Jesus death on the cross paid the price for your sin. He came alive again after being dead for 3 days. To go to heaven you must receive Christ's forgiveness for your sin.  To do that, take ownership of your junk before God, by faith believe that He died and rose again and receive Him by asking Him to come into your heart and give His everlasting peace. Start reading the Bible (start with the Book of John) and go to church next Sunday morning. The surf will still be there in the afternoon.  Trust me on that one!

Peace, in Christ,
Ray
