We have just returned from an 11 day car trip visiting Rescue Missions on the East coast and seen evidence that God is already doing a mighty work everywhere we have gone. |

Many men, women and children have overcome the things they used to do (described in the Bible below): |

Do
"Away then with sinful, earthly things; deaden the evil desires lurking within you; have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires; don't worship the good things of life, for that is idolatry.
God's terrible anger is upon those who do such things. You used to do them when your life was still part of this world;
but now is the time to cast off and throw away all these rotten garments of anger, hatred, cursing, and dirty language." and, "But you have lived as a prostitute with many lovers-- would you now return to me? declares the LORD." Jeremiah 3:1 |

| How have they overcome these things God warns us not to do? By having a personal relationship with God through his one and only Son Jesus Christ. We have met many who are filled with the peace and joy and forgiveness that only God can give. And, we have met many who once had a relationship with God and are now considering returning to God. The Bible says: | |

If only you had paid attention to my commands, |
|
| So, why am I telling you all this? The Bible says I am required to! | |
|
Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: `Return to me,' declares the LORD Almighty, `and I will return to you,' says the LORD Almighty. and This is what the LORD Almighty says: `Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.' Zechariah 1:3; 4 |

| You turn back to God by asking God to help you and by desiring in your heart for God to make you clean in his sight. It is not possible to be good enough to win God's approval. To have God's approval you must follow God's plan! His plan is to have you believe that the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross is payment in full for your sin (and mine). He wants to be number 1 in your life all the time. How do you come to God for the first time or return to Him? This is what God says: | |

"The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your
heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your
mouth that you confess and are
saved.
As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will
never be put to shame."
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,

| The prayer in the brochure you received is a good one but it is only a suggested prayer. What counts is your heart attitude when you ask God for his strength to help you begin to change. | |
| Know
this: Jesus
Christ loves you
beyond your wildest imagination and He wants you to love him
in return. He looked 2000 years into the future when He was dying on
the cross and saw you
and paid the price for your sin (your rebellion against God and His
commandments) in full by the blood he shed for you. He is very
patiently waiting for you right
