I remember many years ago meeting a man for the first time and it seemed like we had known each other all our lives.  I just liked him; wasn't sure why.  We shared similar interests in music, sports, things we did.  It looked like mutual best friends happening.

And then, within two months, he said he was in the process of moving to another part of the USA.  I don't remember where . . . but it was clear that this friendship would be interrupted.  In fact, I never saw or heard from him again.  After he left I felt sad; discouraged.

Have you ever met someone and then, suddenly, they were gone from your life?  People come into and out of our lives all the time.  Sometimes it's OK and other times our heart is sad or we might even feel betrayed - or worse - used.
It is in the basic nature of people to think of themselves first and act accordingly.  Some times we say "You need to do what is right for you" while, at the same time, we're crying inside.
The purpose of the tract you received is to let you know that there is someone who isn't a chameleon.  Someone who is faithful and true. Someone who does not change like the shifting shadows you see late in the afternoon of a sunny day.
There is someone who loves you passionately even when you know you're not feeling even remotely loveable.  That someone loved you so much that He created you!  Loves you!  Is wild about you!  You!  He knew you before you were born.  His name is Jesus.  All your life He has been waiting for you. Wanting you to say hello; to spend some time with Him; to get to know Him and trust him and be forgiven.  He wants you to lay your troubles on His wide shoulders.  He wants to carry that deep hurt for you.
   Will you let Him?
That's the message of "If we never meet again".  You may never stop in at this web page again.  You may never hear of God's love again as long as you live.  We may never meet again.  What I'm saying is that God is calling out to you now. Do you want Him?  If so, in your own words tell God you're sorry for ignoring Him for so long.  Admit to God that you've rebelled against Him and you're sorry from your heart.  Thank God for sending Jesus to pay the price with His blood on the cross for your rebellion against Him.  Believe that God raised His one and only Son Jesus Christ from the dead.  Ask God to save you from your rebellion against Him and forgive you.  Then, by faith, thank God for what He is going to do in your life simply through trusting Him!

Steps to peace with God are located here.

. . . let me know about how you're doing.  I care.
