What is a Christian? (continued . . . page 2 of 2)   Why is it not possible for 77% of men and 86% of women in the United States to be "Christian"?   For several reasons: The general divorce rate is over 50% and is slightly higher among those who attend church.  God's word says this:  "I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel Malachi 2:16 and Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." Mark 10:9 A small portion of our culture labels as "intolerant" any Christian who believes in Jesus Christ, alone, as their Lord and Savior.  Jesus answers: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:6  Christians rarely individually, and almost never collectively, refute the false teachings of our culture, our universities, our news media, our so called "entertainment industry", many ISPs, "National Public Radio" and the many others who have an anti_Christ agenda. Turn on television at 3:00 PM in the afternoon and intentionally look at each channel until you understand the message and agenda associated with each pit stop.  If America were a Christian nation and if "In God We Trust" were true this cesspool would not be possible.  "Christians" are watching this stuff.  If 86% of the women of this nation and 77% of the men of this nation stopped watching these programs they would be taken off television  due to low ratings.  Remember the fall TV ratings season?  6 weeks and the losers are gone. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. James 1:21 Consider the movies in our movie theatres.  If 86% of the women and 77% of the men of this nation stopped supporting PG, R and X(+) movies the industry would be transformed within 9 months.  Guaranteed.  The God of Hollywood is money and the cessation of the cash flow would cause an immediate outcry starting with your local corporate movie theater chain. Drive by any golf course on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM and look at the number of men there.  Go by the nearest surf break and do the same thing. Look at the e-mail from kayaking organizations which schedule trips every Sunday morning.  They are not with their families in God's house thanking God for His grace and mercy and for their very lives . . . God's word is not encouraging here.  Romans 3:12 says this:  All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." and Jeremiah 2:19 says this: Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the LORD your God and have no awe of me," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty. I do not have time to speak about mothers killing their babies, internet pornography, . . . sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.  Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. Colossians 3:5-6 and also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
